The local news just had a piece from Grass Valley (in the Sierra foothills) about a tree which fell over in the recent storm and is blocking a guy’s driveway. His insurance company said they can’t come out until midweek, and he can’t afford a tree-cutter on his own. So, as he put it, “What can I do? I’m imprisoned in my own house.”
He appeared able-bodied on the TV, but apparently when you live in Grass Valley, you aren’t allowed to get anywhere by foot or bicycle…
