Impromptu Blues Funeral
Johnny Nitro’s life ended like one of his gigs: in an old North Beach bar, on a Saturday night, surrounded by fans.

"Imprisoned"
The local news just had a piece from Grass Valley (in the Sierra foothills) about a tree which fell over in the recent storm and is blocking a guy’s driveway. His insurance company said they can’t come out until midweek, and he can’t afford a tree-cutter on his own. So, as he put it, “What can I do? I’m imprisoned in my own house.”
